Which do you think is the worst accident of the two?

Quote:
The new HBO series "Chernobyl" dramatizes the accident and horrific aftermath of a nuclear meltdown that rocked the Ukraine in 1986. Twenty-five years later, another nuclear catastrophe would unfold in Japan, after the magnitude 9.0 Tohoku earthquake and subsequent tsunami triggered a disastrous system failure at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.

Both of these accidents released radiation; their impacts were far-reaching and long-lasting.

But how do the circumstances of Chernobyl and Fukushima compare to each other, and which event caused more damage?

I have watched the HBO Chernobyl series to date and I thought it was really good.

I doubt many would disagree that history does repeat itself. Knowing this, look how much information that was covered up about the Chernobyl accident for from the first few days to several years later. To think that we have been told to date the truth about the Fukushima disaster, would be a gullible mistake on our part.

Why You Should Watch HBO's CHERNOBYL
If you still have not watched the HBO Chernobyl series and don't have the time to, please watch this overview of the series. Spoiler alert: It does reveal parts of the movie.

If you already watched the video I previously suggested above which gives an overview of the HBO Chernobyl series, great. Now here is a video I found that is useful:

I also found this 2017 video of a tour guided trip to Chernobyl really interesting and depressing, but I consider it educational and worth sharing.

I recently purchased this hardcover book, a 2019 release. It is called, "Manual for Survival: A Chernobyl Guide to the Future 1st Edition" and I'm currently on page 17. Even after just 17 pages in, I'm finding out information about the disaster that I was previously unaware of.
