Background is 32cpm....filter was as high as 320 CPM....I live in Dallas... |

EVERYONE EVERYWHERE should take precautions when changing filters, vacuum bags and cutting grass or using a blower outside. 1) All Filters should be carefully placed into a empty trash bag and sealed before moving (even 1 step) from the area... ...If you can imagine the thousands upon thousands of tiny particles coming off these ac filters as you walk through the house with them you are already doing this. 2) Vacuum bags should ALWAYS be changed outside of the living area and cover the hole in the bag where the dust enters with a damp paper towel before placing it in a plastic trash bag. I think I'm screwed as far as the mask goes ...I ride dirt bikes a lot, been sucking in dust for years...although I do try to avoid it as much as possible.... |

Pop wheelies man!!! Me too... Busted my A** about every way you could on one and fixin to do it again! hehe.... Livin baby!!! Scary isin't it? It seems others may not have the privilege when it comes to hot particles, it's a roll of the dice. I've lived large but have lost many good friends to this REAL threat of pollution. Many of them great, VERY hard workin, people... I see this as a call to arms for anyone that knows GOD and/or science... ... Join in for the good of others! Lead, follow or get out of the way!!! Got concerned about the readings on my AC filter so I emailed MAZUR and asks them about it, i got a reading as high as 317cpm, rather quickly i thought....even videoed on my cell phone, he basically said it was radon dust particles and he thought it would dissipate over a few days, he was right, it did....so i guess the filter is doing its job....the only thing I wonder about is that the ac fan had not been run in about two daysand its been there for 3 months..I would think it would have already dissipated by then....? thanks for the recommendation on the dust filters...I usually wear on when I mow the grass this time of year but I don't think any can avoid of breathing in the bad stuff.... |

Hey Texas (lived just north of Ft. Worth for a few years myself)... ...Yea, it is a good idea to run a small (warm water) humidifier in your home to help keep the particles down. Makes them stick to the floor.
