Maybe it's the rain my normal background is usually around 32 count per minute on my Mazur 9000 in doors upstairs...today it's 80 com...max 102cpm....highest I've seen ever...had the detector over a year...

Never turn it off always plugged in to wall....now back to 38cpm..average...

Seems high today...average 62 cpm max 110cpm....24 hr reading....lot of rain....the EPA sites don't reflect this rise....

Oh I'm sorry, I thought you were talking about your own station but you must have been talking about your standalone unit? I own a Mazur 9000 too.

You do not need a Windows PC to have a station of your own on NETC. You can use a 1st generation Raspberry Pi like I have. NETC has custom software to run select geiger counters with, that's what I have been using for two years trouble free with a GMC-200. Your Mazur 9000 would work too, but I would suggest using a GMC-200 outside (in ziplock bag) on an air purifier for best readings. Of course this custom software is not free because the software programmer costs to create it have not yet been collected. If interested, please PM user "hey" who is the owner of NETC, Harlan.
