I have checked other Radiation Monitoring networks in Tucson other than NETC and they are online. I am wondering what happened to the central monitor and the east Tucson one which was on for a very short time. Any one know why? |

Are the sites you are talking about EPA sites? If so, all the EPA sites will come online and go offline as the EPA decides. |

One of them is mounted on a dashboard in the downtown area. If it is EPA, it is in a strange place. The other one is new about one week here located on the far eastside of town and it just disappeared the readings were sooo far from the one downtown too. I have my own and am preparing to mount it outside on the porch. It will be online soon. |

Might want to check the data on that site just before it went offline. Click Chart members radiation chart on the left of the map. Click inactive sites on the right of the map. Zoom in, that Tucson station is hidden behind another. click and balloon. check the last data numbers. Time to bring on another private monitoring station, Hm? |

Monitoring Sites All Active : 269 Active Private: 54 Active EPA Beta: 44 Active EPA Gamma: 104 Active Japan Limited: 67 Active Japan Full: 2685 That site is an EPA Gamma site - the ID number for that begins with 5. Beta begins with 4. Private sites ID numbers begin with a 1. Japan begins with a 6. The EPA sites Gamma were all the way down to 79 two days ago, then *boom* back up to 100-105 again. The Beta sites down to 25 active, now *boom* back to 40-44. |

Thanks, I will look at when it when it went down. Anyway I think it will be up tomorrow hopefully. That's what they said anyway on the EPA site. Trying to learn this stuff. My rad meter is really clicking away tonight in my living room ever since my dog came back in the house. Creepy. |

Might want to wash the dog before he ingests whatever is making the counter click. And his little bed, too! (with apologies to the wizard of oz) |

Monitoring Sites All Active : 273 Active Private: 54 Active EPA Beta: 45 Active EPA Gamma: 107 Active Japan Limited: 67 Active Japan Full: 2680 It looks like the Tucson station is back? And I see that the two at the bottom of Texas are back on again. So, you see that the EPA Gamma sites are up from 104 to 107 now. That was speedy service. |
