Why No Revival

------------------------
Regarding the SIZE of some of the Old time revivals that
were in England in the 1800s, and when that nation was
great in wealth and power; and here in the early 1900s,
Look at C.H. Spurgeon's revivals!

I don't know for sure if that will happen here and now or
ever. In spite of that, God WILL save EVERY soul that
puts his trust in Him. Just that the magnitude of salvation
experiences as of the result of the God instituted Church of
Jesus Christ, here in the U.S.A., will be diminished more
than it could be.

For comparison: when Billy Sunday preached Hell fire and
Brimstone, the ENTIRE booze industry in the area was
closed down. What 'revivals' that we see here today have
THAT kind of results where whole towns are on fire or
affected for Christ today??

Seldom does a nation know it is experiencing a "revival"
until the following generation. Spurgeon's "revivals" were
not recognized until the early 1900's. The word "revival"
(as we define it) is not biblical. We think of revival as a
closing down of taverns, a feeling of God's presense upon
an entire city or county, or a forsaking of sin. But the truth
is that a nation can close down ALL of it's taverns, every
last person can "feel" God's presense, and each and every
person can forsake sin the best they can, and a nation can
still be a heathen nation.

True revival is measured by one thing only: how many
people have been saved.

When Christians get right with God, and seek His face,
there is only one surefire method of determining whether
they are truly "revived" and that is this: do souls get saved?
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life.

My reasoning on this is that when we read in Church
history WHAT sin, if any, was tolerated in the early
fundamental or even mainline churches that at least
preached the undiluted Gospel of Jesus Christ, JUST 30
years ago and then SEE what WE as fundamentalists
tolerate now. There are VAST differences that go beyond
culture and time.

Sins tolerated NOW by American Fundamentalists that
were NOT tolerated in the early 1900 -1930s in their
Churches on a national level: ( i.e. snuffing out our
'candlestick' )

Sin Reason #1.

The covering up the public sins of church leaders and/or
members and looking the other way instead of applying
Matthew 18:15-22 and 1 Corinthians 5 in purging out the
leaven.

Or worse, handling of grievances unBiblically.

   Confrontation, though unpleasant, is sometimes
necessary. But MUST be done the Bible way. Amen?

Matthew 18:15
"Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, GO
AND TELL HIM HIS FAULT between thee and him alone:
if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother."

Matthew 18:16
"But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two
more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every
word may be established."

Matthew 18:17
"And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the
church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto
thee as a heathen man and a publican."

Matthew 18:18
"Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth
shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on
earth shall be loosed in heaven."

Matthew 18:19
"Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on
earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be
done for them of my Father which is in heaven."

( Matthew 18:19 & 20 is sometimes used out of the context
that it is written. I.e. Church discipline. )

Matthew 18:20
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name,
there am I in the midst of them."

Matthew 18:21
"Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my
brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?"

Matthew 18:22
"Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven
times: but, Until seventy times seven."

How many times do we see inappropriate behavior in our
Churches TODAY and do nothing, like the Corinthians in 1
Corinthians 5 ???

1 Corinthians 5:1
"It is reported commonly that there is fornication among
you, and such fornication as is not so much as named
among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife."

1 Corinthians 5:2
"And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that
he that hath done this deed might be taken away from
among you."

1 Corinthians 5:3
"For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have
judged already, as though I were present, concerning him
that hath so done this deed,"

1 Corinthians 5:4
"In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are
gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our
Lord Jesus Christ,"

1 Corinthians 5:5
"To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of
the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord
Jesus."

1 Corinthians 5:6
"Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven
leaveneth the whole lump?"

1 Corinthians 5:7
"Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new
lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is
sacrificed for us:"

1 Corinthians 5:8
"Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven,
neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with
the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth."

1 Corinthians 5:9
"I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with
fornicators:"

1 Corinthians 5:10
"Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or
with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for
then must ye needs go out of the world."

1 Corinthians 5:11
"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if
any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or
covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an
extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."

1 Corinthians 5:12
"For what have I to do to judge them also that are without?
do not ye judge them that are within?"

1 Corinthians 5:13
"But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put
away from among yourselves that wicked person."

   NOT PROPERLY REBUKING HERETICAL OR
PUBILICLY SINNING ELDERS.

1 Timothy 5:19
"Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two
or three witnesses."

1 Timothy 5:20
"Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear."

1 Timothy 5:21
"I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and
the elect angels, that thou observe these things without
preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality."

1 Timothy 5:22
"Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of
other men's sins: keep thyself pure."

   UNQUALIFIED MEN FILLING FUNDAMENTALIST
CHURCHES' PULPITS AND DEACON BOARDS.

FACT: American Pastors in fundamental churches are
dying ( not literally ) like flies in the winter. Why? I submit
that that most of these failures were NEVER called of God
to be a Pastor or Deacon. Look at what the Lord says that a
man has to do to measure up:

For Pastors:

1 Timothy 3:1
"This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop,
he desireth a good work.

1 Timothy 3:2
"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one
wife, vigilant, sober,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;"

1 Timothy 3:3

"Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre;
but patient, not a brawler, not covetous;"

1 Timothy 3:4
"One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in
subjection with all gravity;"

1 Timothy 3:5
"(For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how
shall he take care of the church of God?)"

1 Timothy 3:6
"Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the
condemnation of the devil."

1 Timothy 3:7
"Moreover he must have a good report of them which are
without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the
devil."

For Deacons:

1 Timothy 3:8
"Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued,
not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre;"

1 Timothy 3:9
"Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience."

1 Timothy 3:10
"And let these also first be proved; then let them use the
office of a deacon, being found blameless."

1 Timothy 3:11
"Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober,
faithful in all things."

1 Timothy 3:12
"Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their
children and their own houses well."

1 Timothy 3:13
"For they that have used the office of a deacon well
purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness
in the faith which is in Christ Jesus."

1 Timothy 3:14
"These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee
shortly:"

1 Timothy 3:15
"But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou
oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the
church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the
truth."

1 Timothy 3:16
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen
of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the
world, received up into glory."

    CONDONING DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE IN
OUR CHURCHES.

30 years ago, it was a shame to be divorced, even by the
unregenerate World's
standards. Where are we now Brothers?? Holding to OUR
INTERPRETATION of the
so called, "Exception clause" in Matthew 5 to excuse our
lust?

Matthew 5:32
"But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his
wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to
commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is
divorced committeth adultery."

I submit that the, 'cause of fornication', is INCEST
marriages between cousins or sister and brother. But even
if I am wrong. How many Pastors or deacons violate the
last half of verse 32?: ".. and whosoever shall marry her
THAT IS DIVORCED COMMITTETH ADULTERY." by
officiating at marriages where one or both are divorced. Or
pastors', taking to wife, a divorced woman?

I know of pastors and missionaries who ARE vehemently
KJVO 1611 men, but are divorced and remarried! Why? I
know of one well known man who is a militant KJVO who
is a '3 TIME LOOSER' by the world's standards and
unqualified by God's standards in 1 Timothy 3. But I see
nothing but praise from us fundies for this adulterer.

Matthew 19:9 Same thing. Look at Mark 10:11-12. Plus
Luke 16:18. No "exception clause" Why?

Mark 10:11
"And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his
wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her."

Mark 10:12
"And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be
married to another, she committeth adultery."

Luke 16:18
"Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another,
committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is
put away from her husband committeth adultery."

Even the Hoar of Babylon, Rome, herself TODAY says
that death is the ONLY way to sever a marriage.

Remember the movie, "Divorce Italian Style"? It was a
joke. But it does reflect how the Roman world views a
divorce in a family.

BOTTOM LINE:

These are the end times; and as it is many will "spit in your
face" rather than possess the Free gift of Salvation.

The only thing that we, individually can do is: "KEEP
OURSELVES PURE" as written in 1 Timothy 5:22 .
