This will be interesting to see if Amazon fights it like Apple did or rolls over without a fight like Yahoo did.

If Amazon does not fight it, their Echo sales could plummet. Even though they record only a few seconds after the appliance hears the word 'Alexa', it could still gain a bad reputation.

I agree with you. I believe as Google gets better, people will leave Amazon for the Google version. I think its much like when Apple was the first smartphone and ruled but then Google/Android got better and bigger, now Android rules.
