I was reading a post by King Cobra about how it's important to have the GMC-320 outside to create an actual real time warning network. So I went ahead and posted the GMC-320 outside in a plastic bag.

Glad to hear that. Do you have it on the input side of a HEPA filter air purifier?

Would you consider adding a link to your stations chart in your forum signature so it's easy for people to access after reading your posts in the forum?

@King Cobra
No HEPA filter yet. Can you suggest a functional way to do so?

Buy this model air purifier. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Holmes-AER1-Desktop-Air-Purifier/22176444 I say that because Holmes brand has used this same HEPA filter size in many of their previous desk model units and will likely continue making newer models using the same size filter. As a result, the filter replacements are easy to find at your local WalMart. I change my filter about once every 4 - 6 weeks, every two weeks I try to knock out any dirt, bugs or grass clippings that might get in the filter. Cut out the grill to fit your geiger counter (I use GMC-200 but your GMC-320 should fit fine too) in the center of the filter. Put your geiger counter in a ziplock sandwich bag to protect it from the weather with holes only large enough for the power/data cable. Maybe angle the geiger counter so any water that might hit the data cables runs away from your geiger counter and not in to it. Use an adjustable furnace vent deflector like this to protect the purifiers exit vents from getting the weather/elements in it and duct tape plastic over the purifier control for the same reason. Now run it on HIGH 24/7 while connected to NETC.

Hello. As per KingCobra's request, I have finally installed a fan pushing air into a filter next to the GMC320. The fan is set to high. The new equipment was installed at 4pm, yesterday. It seems like the last 24 hours has more accurate data. I can post pictures if anyone is curious.

Looking at the pictures, I question if the cloth/filter is HEPA like. If not, the small particles with radiation slip pass it and as a result, go undetected. Also if you have more filter surface area vs. geiger counter size, your detections will be better too.

Your results over time will prove to you what works best. I hope your pictures help to encourage others. Thanks for sharing.
