This station has been offline and I am looking for a new location in Byron Illinois, downwind from the nuclear plant.

If you know of or have a location I could setup a monitoring station, please reply herein or send me a private message. I am offering to setup this station for free. All I would need is:

1. The location
2. Internet connection 24/7
3. Standard power outlet

P.S. I am also looking for a location downwind from the Byron Nuclear Plant to take two 1-cup soil samples.

Exelon Generation this afternoon filed license renewal applications with the Nuclear Regulatory Committee (NRC) for its Braidwood Generating Station in Braceville, Ill. and Byron Generating Station in Byron, Ill., the company announced today.

The application filing begins a multiyear review by the NRC to extend the stations’ licenses to operate for another 20 years.

Braidwood Unit 1 is currently licensed to operate until 2026 and Unit 2 until 2027. Byron Unit 1 is licensed to operate until 2024 and Unit 2 until 2026
