Whatever is being detected right now (today) seems to come from down South.

Just a quick question: Is the monitor station in Beloit undergoing some repair or
change out of G.C. tubes? Because the radiation there has been off the charts, what's up, please? And thanks.

I assume you are talking about my NETC outside HEPA air purifier radiation monitoring station in South Beloit Illinois. I did recently change my filter so it currently has the maximum airflow available flowing though it, this is allowing for the highest detection rates possible. My station is elevated much like many other stations, including the EPA stations across the United States.

If you look at http://www.AirNow.gov and click in the upper right corner on the "Current Fire Conditions" map, you will see many fires in the U.S. (likely are) part of the problem. Fukushima fallout gets spread through fires.

I'm happy to see the streak of radiation from (wherever) that caused my higher elevated readings, has now stopped.

I recently heard Miriam German from RadCast dot org on episode #218 of Nuclear Hotseat and she mentioned events in July at the Columbia nuclear power plant next to the Handford Washington nuclear waste site. I found this interesting because I am in that downwind path of the jetstream. My outside 24/7 radiation station graph does seem to match spikes within the timeline mentioned.

Today I put a new HEPA filter in around 6pm CST.

Both my outside radiation monitoring station hit alert stage the same time as St. Charles Illinois. Both my station and St. Charles are the same type of units so I trust them. Their readings confirm each other. My station amazingly reached over 100 CPM.

October so far has been a concern, as seen by my recent high. Looking at the current wind map it appears this radiation (starts) is coming from Kentucky.

King Cobra, your analysis and reports are very interesting and educational to read. Bravo! Particularly impressive is the data showing an approx. 3 day transmission time for spikes recorded near Fukushima and your location in Illinois. Also, the efforts to show correlations in readings from nearby clusters of monitoring stations. Great work.

Thank you. I am just trying to help keep people updated and share what I see/believe as it happens.
