Station - 1:EB56BBCB
Located, 15 miles south of downtown, Whitehorse, Yukon Canada

January 27th, 2014 - Ordered, GMC-320 Raspberry PI, radiation package.

February 9th, 2014 - Received, radiation package. GMC-320 battery found fully charged, ready to go. Proceeded to check radioactivity throughout our home, finding, an average background count of about, 20cpm. All objects including all foods, concrete basement floor, masonry-rock chimney, building materials, soils and snow near the house, all near background level counts of about 20cpm. The highest consistent count found was from an, 35 year old, outdoor work coat, measuring, 30cpm. Objects were measured at an approximate distance of, one inch, from left hand end of Geiger counter-detector, where possible.

February 10th, 2014 - 16:00PST - GMC-320 connected to, Raspberry PI and powered up in basement (ground floor) as an initial test, on-line reporting via wireless, A-OK.
Approximately 20cpm remained as an average indoors with extremes of about, 10 to 30cpm occurring without finding reason or cause.

February 13th, 2014 - 17:00PST - relocated outdoors, facing south-west, mounted on house wall, under protection of roof eves and about 20 feet above ground level, at -20°C.
Core temperature of, Pi, dropped from, 42°C indoors, to, 12°C outdoors.
Outdoor radiation counts and behavior of extreme excursions appear to remain similar to that of indoor measurements. At, 23:00PST and temperature of, -26.2°C, station remains reporting.
Further plan as season warms, is to run, UPS power, to PI and possibly relocate station into a weather enclosure, away from but near the house within range of, wireless, but away from interference from microwave oven and older, CRT type, TV sets. More important in another relocation, is to measure environmental changes in radiation as opposed to possible variables of radionuclide contaminated objects within and near our house.

February 14th, 2014 - warm weather again, -9°C at, 16:00PST :D
