I am no expert either in this field.

I can only compare to the results I have seen with my own equipment over time with my other geiger counters.

Last week there were many different stations that seen a rise.

:-)

At this point in time I'm not prepared to take courses in nuclear physics or even extensive study of mitigation.

...Which leaves me surfing through extensive internet presentations!

I'm not even judging beyond a reasonable doubt, a preponderance of evidence presented by marginally qualified persons is generally sufficient to pursue a course of action!

Not so long ago, in a land not far off, I read where someone compared the use of a personal background survey meter becoming as common as cellphone use. Makes sense to me!

Sharing observations is beneficial for all !
Interpreting them could become critical.

Sorry for delay in response. The readings on front display matched chart. The audible alarm went off too.

ok... so is this leading to a presumption there is a timed release of some sort in the vicinity?

I just watched the ann harris whistleblower vid. Among her statements is that any change in rate of a reactor will spew a release... got one upwind in the neighborhood?

I'd say this benefit of a background survey meter would allow someone to make the choice of when NOT to mow the lawn, or undertake the daily gardening tasks, or jogging... something like that???

due west of me is the Byron Nuke plant. I don't know if it is cause or not or just crap coming from west in general. What is interesting to note is that these last couple of unusually high spikes occur in the early morning.

I use my outside air purifier geiger station on the pi to alert my family anytime my GMC-200 hit 32 CPM or higher. If heard and continues to alarm, our family knows to come in or if outside to stay in.

Speaking of Byron Nuclear Plant, it recently shutdown unit 1 for refueling.

Thanks for the picture, this seems to verify no software error.

Your readings seem real.
