You can upload your picture here:

http://postimage.org/

Then take the direct link to the picture and using the IMG tab in the forum you can post it.

For example:

Code:
[IMG]http://www.example.com/mypicture.jpg[/IMG]

Hosting pictures on a free pic hosting site saves much bandwidth and allows NETC to run faster and cost less.

This is interesting, thank you.

:?: Did you get a chance to verify those high readings on the geiger counter display during the spikes?

I only ask that question because if you verified the CPM spikes on the geiger counter display we can rule out any chance that there might have been a software problem causing false spikes.

So what might cause an hour-long event?

Windborne?

...Street sweeper driver took a break in front of your house?

How to judge all these unknowns???

Most of the time it is hard or impossible to pin point the source but what is most important is verifying it was a real detection.

Thanks for your help, kc!
Obviously I have no training in this field.

So, would it be safe to say, just as a man with two watches is never exactly sure what time it is, the man with only one GC must find some way to verify indications???

eb7 chart showed a couple spikes during the morning period...

From that information could we assume eb7 is NOT using a GC mounted upon a filter???

I am thinking the GM tube was excited by particles passing through, creating a log event.
IF the eb7 detector was mounted upon a filter, would it show a rise to plateau which would last the duration of the particle decay?

Would either one make any difference???

How might one relate the incidence of impact upon any GM tube/device to the level our body mass might be actually receiving? ...all math???

Is a fat guy like me a bigger target? is a pixi less likely to be hit ?

Could eb7's chart led to an interpretation there was some periodic event that could be avoided?
...that a filter installation might not???

Sry kc... too many questions???
Best
