Is this real? Who is this and how can we verify it is a real reading?

The high readings are not supported by other nearby detectors (radmon.org, uradmonitor.com, eurdep, gcmaps.com), so it's likely either user testing or malfunction.

Exactly, people must use their knowledge of detectors and radiation to decipher through the data a little before jumping to conclusions. Using this forum to question and comment about a questionable detection or site is why this forum was created. This forum works well too for keeping a record of a users private radiation monitoring stations maintenance records, like I do with mine.
