I woke up this morning an my counts are over a 100 CPM. they usually don't go over 40 CPM, I have a GMC-320 on the intake of an air purifier outside. is there any chance that the air purifier caught a hot particle? or that my GC has malfunctioned? any advice is appreciated. (and should i take it offline?)

@phil410 - I am looking at the charts right now. This is a perfect example of why we suggest people to have a second geiger counter to confirm your readings. Have you looked at the display screen on your unit, why does it read as CPM? Do you have your sound on and if so, can you hear the unit clicking/ticking more than you normally hear it? What version of the free NETC Windows program are you currently running? Geiger counter GM tube failures do happen and so do software bugs, both of which we wish wouldn't happen but I can promise you that our goal is the same as yours.

@KingCobra, I do have a couple other GC's CDV 700's one hooked up to another map site. an it went into alert to, but not near the counts. anyway i am running, wapp4netc version 1.1.2.1075. an i thought it was supposed to be set on CPM? I am disabled with a bad back, so i just now was able to get out an check on it. the screen showed that high an the sound was on, but the ambient noise here is to loud to hear it. i unplugged it, an turn it off an back on. then turned the sound off, it seems to be back to normal. is there anyway to remove the glitch from the graph, or should i delete my history?
thanks for your help.
Phil.

Glad to hear you have a backup unit, I do too.

What CPM did your CDV 700 reach?
