What is it with high levels of radiation being detected on or close to holidays. Is this on purpose maybe thinking we will be to busy with the holiday to notice/mention it? My outside air purifier radiation station has been going off all day, this is not normal! The NETC map shows many stations in elevated levels and there are lots of children outside today doing egg hunts! |

Our kids are staying inside too. What a great tool NETC is but it does not take the place of having your own outside air purifier radiation station. |

An $85 GMC-200 with a $35 Holmes air purifier from Walmart connected to the free NETC Windows download program is the most low cost available. My outside unit is the GMC-200 (been outside in a ziplock bag for a full year now) using the $35 Holmes air purifier with HEPA filter. I use the Raspberry Pi with custom software from NETC rather than needing a regular Windows computer running. I think most could swing this low cost unit if they only knew about it. |

 BIG SURPRISE!Look at the current wind map screen shot and you see that the warm winds from the South (WIPP area) are blowing up my direction. It is fair to guess that as those teams go in to the WIPP plant they likely have the vent system on blowing everything they can out. Just a guess.

KC - how ya doing? Kansas City has been hit hard the last month. Now the EPA have taken KC and Wichita offline for going on 3 days now. I am going to buy an inspector alert, can that be hooked into netc? North of KC, your area and the upper Mid East have been getting hit really hard as well the last few weeks. I also think its WIPP! As the jetstream has been no where close to KC and KC is almost close to setting new records. I wish the 2nd coming would come sooner than later. God bless, stay safe and peace be with you. |

Well my inside pancake unit proves that it is not gamma. I am going to go outside an get a 10 minute background with my InspectorEXP. Edit: My InspectorEXP 10 minute outside background test was normal. |
