My GMC-320+ died last week and I want to put my CDV-700 into service in the interim. Does wapp4netc monitor one of the rs-232 signals for pulses only (converted to USB) or does it only read standardized data format on the RX data line of the rs-232 port? In other words, can I customize an RS-232/USB board I have to read the count pulses from the CDV-700 such that wapp4netc can use it? Thanks, Del |

We have not tested wapp4netc on other than GMC-xxx and few other GC. Go ahead and try it, please keep us informed. Harlan |

As of this evening I have a CDV-700 sending data to the network. I used a USB/Serial interface and fed the negative pulses from the earphone jack to the RX data input on the Serial side of the interface. The wapp4netc application immediately began tallying the counts. Success. |
