Some Geiger counters including the GMC-3xx have different ways to display the radiation levels, in CPM or REMs. CPM is the energy from all radioactive material that hits the Geiger tube. If you switch to REMs, two other factors are needed, type of Geiger tube and type of radioactive material like Cs137 or CO60. The GMC-3xx knows what type of Geiger tube it is using and it is calibrated for Cs137 and it ignores all the other radioactive material. Netc.com server uses CPM to get all radioactive material that is at the Geiger counter. Harlan
