According to the wind map ( http://hint.fm/wind/ ) it is totally WRONG, it has the wind over Fort Worth, TX going the opposite directing. It says West but all the other stations at ( http://aprs.fi ) says the wind is blowing East. WIPP is sending large amounts of radiation East towards Fort Worth and Dallas TX. Netc.com reported Alert stage RADCON-5 for that area. This radiation will travel to the East Coast over the next few days. I live in the path, I will stay inside with my Geiger Counter and prepare for the radiation storm. |

The three dimensional aspect of air (and water) current movements is impossible to portray using two dimensional graphics. You're right, inevitably all wind moves west to east, but you know that belt of radiation can swirl up, down and north and south for a mile or more before turning east. Also, staying indoors may be fine for momentarily avoiding hot particles but they'll still be accumulating on the ground and in the water tables, waiting for us to emerge. Its this aspect of it that this monitoring we do discounts because of the subtle changes in the ambient radiation. |

True we can never outrun this radiation but we can try to stay inside until it hits the ground. My station has clearly shown an up trend over the past month and my nearest EPA stations confirm that too. Every little bit I can avoid until tomorrow is a daily victory in my opinion.

I have tried to warn the people willing to listen, including government officials. Look at the lack of financial support NETC has from the number of members. There should easily be a radiation station in every city in the U.S. with the number of members here but there is not. I am focusing on my family & myself along with sharing on here information I have to help your family. This includes per minute data from my outside air purifier radiation station. |
