Just noticed that NWS has all of ID/MT under winds watch, due to a 90 mph jet stream mixing down towards the surface. We are having higher gusts here on the divide now. This is moving things over to the Dakotas by this evening - they say.
This is one of the events that I have long wondered about - will it bring increased readings along it's path or not? Is it a "tap" into some direct path from Japan? Will just have to watch and see.
Wish my set was here and up and running...dang USPS! (anyone else having unusual long mailing times now? - our's started getting longer and longer last summer/fall. ?).

Overall, I have been happy with the usps.
I can not do what they do for that kind of money.

Turbulent wind?
I feel there is probably no truly safe place.
