I was not too surprised to see that our heavy a.m. fog had elevated levels of radiation in it. Considering that my outside radiation monitoring stations HEPA filter has almost reached its 30 day life and will need to be replaced around the 12th of August, the current elevated reading should/would actually be higher with a new filter.

Today I replaced my outside radiation station HEPA filter. The drop in the graph at 10:30 a.m. CST today was during the filter change and is normal. The old filter had been in there for 30+ days and as a result, it had reduced airflow. The 30+ day old filter today was showing an elevated level of radiation being detected so with the new filter in I fully expect my station to start to show a higher level of detection.

Today (September 16, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. CST) I replaced my outside radiation monitoring stations HEPA filter.

It has almost been 30-days since I replaced it last.

I just changed my outside filter (Oct. 8th 2016 at 2 p.m. CST) so my station and the station (St. Charles, Illinois) near me https://www.netc.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=761&start=40 are running with new filters in the same time period. Both stations use the same equipment and are about 67 miles away from each other. Unfortunately for the St. Charles station, it is downwind of Byron Nuclear Plant which I'm not. We both are close to being the same distance from the Byron Nuclear Plant though, plus or minus 20 miles. I'm just more North of the plant and he is East of it.

My outside radiation station HEPA filter was replaced today, November 8th, 2016 at 9:20 CST.

I'm not sure what the source of this elevated outside radiation level is, but it's not normal for this time of day.

Today (12/06/2016 10:55 a.m. CST) I replaced my outside radiation monitoring station filter.

Today (01/07/2017 at 8:55 p.m. CST) I replaced my filter.

Recently, I noticed an increase in radiation levels detected (see attachment) by my outside radiation monitoring station. This concerns me because the filter I still currently have on my filter that is a already a month old. I change them monthly and near the end of the month, they tend to not show the elevated levels of radiation as clearly because of the lack of sampling/airflow. Here is a screen of my past two weeks graph, 1-hour average. Today I will change my filter and I'm afraid how high the levels detected might be.

As you can see from the jetstream forecast map for today (link below) our warm weather is coming straight off the warm (Fukushima contaminated) Pacific Coast Ocean.
